Stephanie was born and raised in South Bend, Washington. She grew up participating in basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and track and wanted to combine her love for sports with her interest in the medical field. Stephanie attended Western Washington University and received her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science in 2003. She also spent her Junior year studying abroad at the University of Hawaii in Manoa. She then attended Eastern Washington University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008.

Stephanie has been working in the outpatient setting since graduation, but she also spent time during her internships working with children at Doernbecker’s Children’s Hospital in Oregon. She loves working with children while trying to find new and exciting ways to make therapy fun and interactive for them. She also worked at the Veteran’s Hospital in Seattle for 6 months, working with patients who had new prosthetic limbs, total joint replacements, chronic pain, and patients recovering from strokes. Working in the outpatient setting has allowed her to use her manual skills to help patients of all ages and backgrounds. She values the importance of educating each patient and the impact that can make on their rehabilitation process. Her goal as a therapist is to provide individualized care to each patient and enable them to assume an active role in their rehabilitation.

Stephanie’s interests include traveling, hiking, playing basketball, reading, being near the ocean, and spending time with her friends, family, and her pug Blue.
